Favorite sushi spot in Chicago! Sometimes I come just for the red sauce that they put on their green beans and mushrooms.

The food was mind-blowing! The restrooms were clean, the Tatumi room was beautiful and comfy, and the service was amazing! There is nothing I could ask for more than this place. Not to mention, the overall experience is amazing!

* Quite literally my favorite restaurant of all time, and I've been going here my entire life. * Best dishes: Dynamite Shrimp, Teriyaki Chicken, Roberto Special Maki, Combination C. The tempura, miso soup, and salad are also great. * Service is excellent. They provide you with warm towels when you first sit down. * Ambiance is amazing and has an authentic Japanese feel. The ryokan rooms are amazing.

My family and I have been coming to midori for YEARS. The decor leans toward a more traditional japanese dining experience. If you have a party of 5 or more, you can opt to sit in tradition japanese dining spaces (it's so fun and a great experience. The staff also is very accommodating to people with disabilities- they have always be very helpful to my grandparents who have limited mobility). Additionally, the staff is always so welcoming and accommodating! They continue to provide great food and amazing service to my family and me. It is one of my all time favorite restaurants and will always recommend it.

My wife & I went out to Mindori a Japanese Restaurant for Valentines Day. Midori is a very nice restaurant on Bryn Mawr w/beautiful Japanese decor. My friend told me about this place years ago but this was first opportunity for use to eat there. A We both ordered the Bento Boxs that came w/a salad w/a delicious ginger & onion pureed in a vinaigrette. There was a choice of salmon, mackeral or Chicken. We both chose the salmon. In addition it came w/miso soup, 3 pieces of Marguro/Tuna, shredded daikon, 2 pieces of red snapper, spinach w/sometype of sauce on top w/sesme seeds & a rice ball & the most perfectly cooked tempura w/a light fluffy batter perfectly cooked. The tempura came w/sweet potato, green beans, shredded carrots (like crispy hash browns) & a large beautifully cooke shrimp cooked to perfection w/a light crispy batter

Our first time at midori. Walking in the restaurant has very beautiful Japanese style, which has a nice very attractive Japanese feel. Robertos special maki roll was really good. The role was warm sushi, which I prefer had a nice crunch and plate looked really nice The service was great! Redeye special was too spicy for me but a friend of mine liked it Will definitely come back

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago. The Roberto Special roll might not be a totally traditional roll, but that's the one constant menu item I can't refrain from getting every visit. It's that good. Their nigiri is delicious & so are their signature maki rolls. Their special maki rolls are all 10/10, you're pretty safe with anything on this menu. The staff is so friendly & personable, it feels like you're at a family members dinner table every time you go there. Restaurant is big & never too crowded so I've honestly never waited for a table here no matter how big the party was. I recommend this place whenever someone asks where to get sushi in Chicago.

Excellent food and great service! I can see why there are such great reviews. Traditional Japanese restaurant that serves salad and miso soup! I miss this kind of place. Sushi was delicious, try the veggie roll!!

I was actually super impressed with this place. I'm surprised I've never been there before, but I'll sure to stop by again! We had a big lunch so we just ordered gyoza, dynamite shrimp, and two sushi dishes. Not only did we get this, but also a tasty salad and hearty miso soup. What a surprise! The sushi was also massive so we were super stuffed! We ended up bringing home half of the sushi. We loved the dynamite shrimp! Very tasty! The gyoza was so so. It needed more flavor to it. The dynamite shrimp sauce did the trick! As for the service, it was excellent, especially for a place like this. The servers were kind of old, but certainly knew what they were doing. The place is a little cramped, but it's certainly a place I'll come back. The party room looks pretty sweet!
